…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

The following are four commonly used roaming protocols in the field of electric vehicle (EV) charging:

OCPI (Open Charging Point Interface): OCPI is an open-source protocol that is used for interconnecting different charging networks and operators to allow seamless roaming for electric vehicles. It provides a standard interface for exchanging information between charging networks, such as tariffs, availability, and reservation status.

OICP (Open Inter Charge Protocol): OICP is a protocol that is used for exchanging information between charging networks, such as tariffs, charging points, and usage data. It is designed to provide a seamless roaming experience for electric vehicle drivers by allowing them to easily access charging points in different networks.

OCHP (Open Charge Point Protocol): OCHP is a protocol that is used for exchanging information between charging networks, such as charging point availability, status, and tariffs. It provides a standardized interface that enables interoperability between different charging networks, allowing electric vehicle drivers to easily find and access charging points.

eMIP (European Mobile Infrastructures Project): eMIP is a European project that aims to create a common, interoperable charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. It is focused on establishing a standard for roaming and interoperability between charging networks, and provides a set of protocols and technical specifications for implementing roaming solutions.

These protocols are important for the growth and development of the electric vehicle market, as they allow electric vehicle drivers to access charging points in different networks and locations, enabling them to travel further and reducing the range anxiety associated with electric vehicle ownership
